Do what makes you feel good about yourself. I could do the same, but elected not to start a sh!tfest. Again, you started with the name calling which was a smart decision.

BTW, I HAVE driven my 92 SHO without a thermostat due to one that failed. I had to get it back home and it did not overheat.

a high of 70 and you turned on your A/C?

No wonder Cali has trouble keeping up with electrical demand.

I got a question.

Will i encounter any issues running a 180 degree t-stat as opposed to a oem 195? The SHO will only be driven in the summer and i plan on doing some track use (nothing crazy, just 1/4 against my cousins mustang). I assume since it will keep the engine running cooler and i only plan to use the car in the summer, i wont be running into any issues with a 180 vs a 195.

Thoughts? I gotta repalce my t-stat. Took the car on the highway for the first time and the CEL would turn on/off. City driving its fine though. In the city the temp floats around the lower bracket and top of the blue square. On the highway the temp would almost drop to starting position for the needle.

The OEM thermostat in my 1991 was marked with "82C" on the ******. I made a note in the maintenance log to document it. That equates to 179.6F. I have always used the 82C/180F versions that are also available with non-Motorcraft repalcements. As far as the ATX, I have found only the 88C/190.4F OEM Motorcraft versions in the younger 3.2L engines I had serviced "back in the day" when they were young.
