My SHO will somtimes die when I am driving and it acts like it is still on because the power steering still works but the tach is just at 0 and then a few seconds later it will all shut down and then it won't start up again for about 5-10 minutes for some strange reason.

Classic crank position sensor going bad and maybe because of water pump leaking onto it. Could be another sensor too?

Sounds like CPS to me. Can also be caused by power washing your engine. Not all water that comes from the top comes from the water pump. :) I do believe that the one time I power washed my engine (before I knew about the CPS) was the beginning of the end of mine. My water pump wasn't the culprit.

You will also want to run your codes just to see what the computer has to say.
