Okay,

So i start my car to leave work everything is fine it is not hard to start and i let it idle for aprox 30-60sec till the idle lowers a little. Drop in drive and go. I pull up to a gate that i have to exit out through about 200 ft from where i parked and it died. I tried starting it up it wouldn't unless i put my foot in the gas. then it started i reved it a couple of times no problems and it did this random stalling all the way home wich is about 15 miles, and more so when i would let off the gas some times when i had the gas pressed lightly.

I have just recently did an oil change spark plugs, and wires. No coil pack but i also did the seafoam treatment to the intake and sparyed some throttle cleaner in it as well. The car has been running perfect except for today.

Also does anyone else have there climate control cluster ever blink all eights? Mine does everyonce and a while it will blink all eights on the digi when i am using it and the car sputers for a second and then it jumps right back to normal.

So any answers will help i have checked into some other threads and they point to teh IAB/IAC and the CPS so if you think it might be something else or agree with the other threads still let me know so i don't pysch myself out over this.

Thanks,
Shawn.:thankyou:

I'm no expert but after all the threads I have read here sounds like the CPS to me. But I have been known to be wrong from time to time. Did you check the CPS to see if it was being leaked on? Or taken the IAC off and tried cleaning it?

Sounds like a bad cam sensor...

The EATC is really sensitive to voltage, and when it isn't getting enough (i.e. when the car is trying to stall), it can do some weird things.

When it stalls, is there a period when it just won't start again? If there is, that's a classic crank sensor.

Other than that, pull codes. Please search on here if you don't know how. There are a kajillion threads on it.

Yeah, mine did this when the alternator was not putting out any voltage. Also, my functioning battery warning lamp did not illuminate when the failure occurred.

Check the alternator connections and output. Also check the battery connections at the battery and where the ground cable attaches to the starter motor stud.

check the easy stuff first. make sure the plugs are in tight and the wires are all seated correctly as well as making sure your electrical connections are plugged in (Cam sensor). verify that the grounding strap to the intake has good contact.
its possible that something decided to fail just now, but id look into stuff you have recently touched.
as for the climate control, it sounds like there is a loose connection or something is grounding out. when you first turn the key to the on position it does this... sort of like a boot process. im wondering if it is randomly loosing power... bad or not properly seated fuse?
are these two problems related?

Whenever i get out of my car i alway turn everything off and turn the radio down. So when i first start my car the climate control says off and doesn't seem to look like it is booting. It only does it when i am using the climate control and only once in a while does it flash all 8's and then the car spits for a second and everything is goes back to normal. No the two problems are not related. As for the random stalling I ended up cleaning my IAC and then tried driving it with no problems we will see how tomorrow goes but for the climate control i will have to wait and see next time it does it.

Thanks guys,
Shawn.

I read somewhere that if the cam sensor is bad the car will not start let alone run at all.
