I have just about had it with this car. In the last 3 months I have replaced the mufflers, cat pipe, Crank position sensor, cam position sensor, DIS module, plugs, etc. The other day the new cat started making noise when driving around and the car was smoking so I ordered another new one figuring maybe the car running so poorly caused it to go bad. I took the old one off and the cat serving the front 3 cylinders was shot...it came out in pieces....this is after only about 600 miles. I put a new one on the car and it seemed ok but now the car is again not running well and I can smell the cat. It stalled once on me today too. Any idea what can cause the cat to burn up like that so quickly?

The car has stock wires, plugs gapped at .040 I believe, Catco y pipe with cats, and Summit turbo mufflers.....ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

your car is probably running way too rich. When was the last time you replaced the thermostat or the engine coolant tenperature sensor (ECT, 2 wire unit). Those are probably the causes of you burning up the cat. Check your engine codes as well, maybe they can shed light on the issue.
