okay...figured out my trans leakage problem...didn't have the axle in far enough for the lil c-clip to lock in. how the **** do i get it in? i'm afraid if i hit it too hard i'm gonna break the damn thing. should i just go to town on it with my 2lb sledge? is there a special trick? help, before i end up filing a fire insurance claim on it!

If youre careful with the big hammer, you can do it that way. I use the axle itself as a hammer. Pull out on it then use the CV as its own hammer. (If you understand what I'm saying) Drunk posting FTL

Yep, get the axle as straight as possible and use it as it's own slide hammer. You can even have it in the knuckle and then you can use the mass of the knuckle and the strut, too.
