cant get the fuel filter off??

am i doin this wrong. how hard is it to get the connectors off of this thing. i mean it looks like the filter has been on there since the dark ages but i cant get the connectors loose and i pulled the tabs already. any tools i should be using that make this simple

try some needle nose plyers.... and pry it off...

Allthough i dont think it should be that hard... unless its really old... :shrug:

i def need to find some plyers now. i was trying to get a good grip and pull on it a lil and my thumb popped...and well now i cant really grip anything

twist the filter inside the coupler to help loosen as you pull.

also is the filter holder/bracket loose? get that really loose, and you can manuever the filter out of it once you get the lines off.

i tryed it all and it wasnt budging at all...i was holding the filter and with a rag i was twisting and pulling on the connector. in fact i was gripping/pulling so hard my thumb popped out of the socket and is going to **** me tomorrow.

IT'll go eventually. I had the same problem on one side of mine a couple of weeks ago. When it does finally come off make sure the o ring inside the fitting and its retainer dont stay with the filter. Its usually the retainer thats rusted to the tubing. I almost threw mine away and noticed the rings on the tube right before it gave it the toss.
