ive asked about 20 questions and i think ive gotten two descent answers that i could use. here it goes one more time, when i unplugg my cid sensor after the car warms up i lose tach readings from the tachometer is this normal or is it not? the reason i am asking is in messing around trying to locate my problem i unplug it and lose all tachometer readings. ive done this three times with the same loss of reading. i unplugged it the other day and i still had a tach reading. i also checked on the alldat site and it says cps is what gives the tach readings, but ive heard on this site that it is the cid sensor, i also get a hard start nearly everytime i try to start the car. has there ever been a case of a bad cps that caused drivability symptoms. before you answer i know if the cps is totally bad you get no spark.
