I'm working on a race car project powered by a 92 SHO (I think). It wasn't using a CMS and had a bracket bolted to that location instead. I ordered a new sensor and seal, but there must be a part missing because the sensor does not sit flat against the adapter. I've looked at all the diagrams I can find, but nothing shows me any parts that may be bolted to the assembly or between the assembly and the sensor. IS there a ring adapter or something connected to the cam? Does anyone have a pic with the sensor removed?

This thing is a serious frankensho and I have zero knowledge of its history. It's been a fun year digging into it. Will post some pics tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

Here are a few shots: It looks like I need a cam vane? Bonus if you know what the car is.IMG 1910 IMG 1911 IMG 1912

you also appear to be missing the adapter that bolts onto the head and to which the cam sensor mounts. it looks like a little donut with 2 ears on it.

Cool. Always wanted to do one of those with the SHO motor. What are the three braided hoses going into the side of the block for? Is it using a Medeola, Fortin, Albin or Porsche transaxle?

Those braided lines are for the dry sump. That's the tank on the left side of the first picture.

Also, the transaxle is off a 915. I'm not sure what shape it's in. I guess that will be phase 2. I'm using the megasquirt V3 and still haven't gotten it running. I'd like to run sequential w/ LS1 coils.

Great video! Your setup sounds awesome. Do you have any big pics of the motor? Are you running a standalone?

No, I'm not smart enough to use the Mega Squirt on a SHO motor. I'm using the stock computer with an aftermarket chip from Superchips plugged into the back. PM me you email and I will send some pics of the motor, just polished, with Eaton Blower on her and with the current turbo setup. What is a 915?
