I have a set of Eibach springs that have been sitting in my room waiting for struts for about a year now. I plan on getting struts soon, hopefully, and was wondering about the Camber Correction kits that you can buy for the SHO. The Eibachs don't lower the car that much, I know, but A. do you think it will cause a need for camber adjustment? and B. how hard is it to put on one of these kits? I assume its only for the rear of the car, but is it hard to do cause Im not THAT mechanically inclined.

The rear camber adjustment kits are actually ecentric bushings for the inside rear trailing arm mounts. Either from Moog (2 degrees of adjustment) p/n ?? or the TRW (4 degrees of adjustment) p/n 13235A, sold each. You will need two to allow camber adjustmnts or four if you want and/or need the toe adjustments.

Unless you slam the front end, the worst case is that they will have to cut or drill the welds on the upper strut mount plate.

not so! Northstar products has just come out with an alternative to the bushings, they are eccentric cam bolts, and are roughly the same price as the bushings, and much easier to intall. The number from northstar is 46-132, and you'd want two of the kits. The front strut plates (41-4605) are not that expensive, and as long as you get some spring compressors, you can do it yourself. The plates will give you 2.5 degrees of adjustment, and the rear cams will give you roughly 2-2.5 degrees of adjustment in both camber and toe in the rear, and camber and caster in the front. To do any camber or caster adjustments in the front, the spot welds need to be either drilled out (special $15. tool) or as I do it, stick an air chisel under all 4 welds and just bust em, which I find to be less intrusive. Shoot me an email if you'd like to learn more about an alignment.

I just put in Koni's and Eibach's and a few other suspension mods ... wink

I had my alignment done, and there was no camber/toe problems at all. Both my tires on the left side were close to the limit, but they were able to align everything correctly. Yes, they did have to break the strut plate?? welds but it aligned.

You wont need them at all. Even with my 18's and 2.5" drop(fr), I have no camber issues and am within stock limits.

Tell you what, I've had Eibachs and Konis for over 6 years now and don't have any camber adjustments at all. I have had no abnormal tire wear at all. I have also won 3 autocrosses with those and other mods(sway bars, wider wheels and tires, strut tower braces). So it's not imperative that you do it. Like anything else though, it should slightly improve handling. Although, I did just get in a set of tubular rear control arms which will give both camber and toe adjustments.

Anyone familiar enough with the Gen 3 setup to know if the Moog or other strut plates or cam bushings/bolts will be compatible with Gen 3 suspension?

Ok, ok you got me, NOT! lol I have no camber issues in the rear either with a 1.30" drop(tread tucked in). And if your rear looks off your probaly in need of an alignment :p .

I need the adjustments. I just got an alignment after Konis/eibachs and in the rear they said they can't adjust camber because it needs the adjustable kit. I am thinking of just getting Moog control arms in the back and adjust it that way don't have to take the struts off (pita) again.
