Just finished the cam seal replacement. I didn't do it when I did the 120k, and I should have. I found 2 of the 3 leaking. Replacement went extremely smooth, no horror stories to report, no mangled seals, no hours of cursing. Thanks to JDLangevin and SHOphoenixProject.com for the excellent pics and tips! And thanks to SDPatt for the wealth of knowledge available with a simple search by member #51. Now on to the rod bearings!!! thumb

Ditto :)

I'm very happy that it went well for you, there was plenty of cursing when I did it the first time! rofl

I'm going to have a rod bearings guide shortly, when are you planning on doing yours?

What are the part #'s on the cam seals? I got one out of three, but I know the one that is leaking is diff. than the other two. The one I need for sure is located behind the CID sensor. Argh, I don't look forward to the job at all. Thanks in advance.

NY for now, WY for real
All three are exactly the same size.
At autozone.com it's called "Timing Cover Gasket".
Felpro TCS45870, $15.99 for all three.

The one behind the CID is a little trickier to get to, but comes out just like the other 2. It came out easier than the front bank for me.. :madflame:

I got the FelPro set from AutoZone. The rear exhaust cam seal was the hardest of the 3 to remove and install due to space. I took my time and greased 'em up good and 45 minutes later they were done! :thumb:
