When replacing cams stock for stock do I need to swap the shims over from the old car? Or can I keep the original ones? I will still do the shim adjustment.

Doesn't matter. After installing the cams, you need to measure the gaps and replace the shims as needed.

The only time you dont need to re-shim is when you dont change anything.

If you change the heads or the cams alone (or both) you need to re-shim.

If you leave the shims in the head, you will be at least close on the gaps with the 'new' cams. The last cams I swapped, I didn't need to change any shims.
