cam break in?

How long after I install my new cams should I wait to "Test" them out. I am thinking that there really isnt a break in period since its pretty much the cam lobes pushing down on the shims, but I wondered what people suggested. Thanks

This is correct.

The big thing is not to let it idle.


I broke mine in like the above, then went out and reved it to 7800.

Sure, may even get some seat time as long as you promise to stay away from gaurd rails.

Got it, no idle. Will I need to keep my foot on the gas, or could I adjust the idle screw to temp raise it? Then sdjust it back and reset the comp.

tweecer is the best route to adjust idle but if you dont have 1 stick a credit card in between the throtle body. or rip the cover off some kind of auto parts box, that would be about the right size. ive never beena fan of messing with the adjustment screw.

Hey I still say, there was a lot of room to spare....when coming around that corner!..... I had to test out the Eibach's to see if I liked them, not bad!

can i thread jack a little?lol what would go wrong if you dont "break them in" and just let it idle. just podering thoughts in my head
