I heard that you can use the cobra calipers with the 11.6 rotors with a little bracket modification. What kind of modification?

Aren't corvette calipers the same as the cobra ones? If so what year vette. Many more were produced and it would definately be cheaper to get vette ones.

from what I heard, it involves putting the left caliper on the right side and vice versa. This would only work for the 96 upgrade. You are correct, they are both PBR calipers, but I'm not sure if they bolt up the same.

The PBR calipers, mounting brackets and 13" rotors (once redrilled for the 5 x 4.25" lug pattern) bolt up to the '94-95 spindles with no modifications. Yes you have to swap sides with the calipers because they are mounted on the back side on a Cobra vs. the front side on a Taurus (bled screw must be at the top of the caliper).

The PBR mounting brackets can also be modified (welding on material, grinding, drill and tapping required) to work with the 11.6" x 1.10" wide rotors and fit inside 16" rims.

These are the HD PBR units found on the Cobra and C4 Corvette with 13" front brakes and 1.10" wide rotors. You can NOT use the std duty PBR calipers found on the C4 Corvette with 12" front brakes and 0.82" wide rotors.
