I've found someone to custom bend some pipe for a true CAI, so no more of that ghetto looking PVC pipe. My question is, does anyone know of some SLOW bends to make this work? My issue right now is that the PVC has to sharp of bends in it to properly register in the MAF so I'm getting a "bank 1 to rich" code. If anyone knows of a tool to get the proper angles, please let me know so I can go buy one.

BTW, I still have the batt upfront.

here's the thing. if you are using 3in pipe you can use a hydrolic bender. used them for running conduit for an electrical company i worked for. the only problem is it is damn expensive and heavy. the other thing is a buddy of mine told me about a shop his friend owns in CA is is called California customs, and he said they would be able to make one. I will ask him if you and other people want what the cost to have 5, 10, 20 made. otherwise good luck let me know how it turns out when you decide what to do.

My 3" PVC CAI consists of the following:

3" rubber pipe connector to replace the accordion (trimmed down to about 2.5" long)
MAF
MAF adapter (DRAXAS)
3" pipe to 3" plastic socket connector
3" 45* street pipe (bends slightly forward, slightly downward from MAF)
3" 45* street pipe (bends toward fender hole)
3" 90* street pipe (straight down from fender hole to bottom of fender)
K&N cone filter

No real drastic bends in there. I haven't had a code since November when I put everything in.

EDIT- Forgot you want to keep the batt up front. My CAI probably won't work for you then. I have articles on both the battery and the CAI:

Well after talking to my bro about the bank 1 being to rich, he suggested that the O2 sensor is bad sence it's only in one bank. So what do you guys think?

As for the intake, I'm just going to use 3" pipe and if possible I'm gonna have it flared out to 3 1/2" at the filter end because I spent $70 on the filter that's on it and don't want to get rid of it. And I made an adapter plate for the MAF out of PVC already, looks nice and everyone has complemented on it.

And for the battery, what about the fumes that come from it? That's the only thing holding me from doing it right now.

Holy shizzle! 2100?! I think you mean PC1200, right? I'm getting on of them in a week or so.

The CAI I did ran me about $80 including the cone filter. Aside from the filter and the MAF adapter, all the parts were <$5 each.

I talked to a guy from the place I bougt it and he said that becasue it is a drycell i wouldn't have to worry about is. I don't see the trunk as being air tight so i would like to think that the wind blowing in through my windows goes between the back seats and flushes the gasses, if any, out. then again this IS just my minds eye

Although no battery is truly sealed the Odyssey is a valve regulated battery. This means it will vent at a certain pressure, usually around 10 lbs or so.

In each rear fender well there is a vent for exhausting any gasses and for the flow through ventilation.

The Odysseys are the best IMHO. I use the PC 925.

I might be intrested in a metal CAI if the price is right - how much are we looking at here? And what all else needs to be done?

I heard from him but I am not to sure if his buddy knows what it is i am asking for. I was told it is a $300 intake that is illegal for some reason and it idds 150hp at the crank. I dont buy it to be honest, but he said that there are two of the they are warrantied and legit. I asked for pics so i can try to understand what it is this guy thinks I want.

So It turns out that I may have to drive to the place in California inorder to see what this guys is talking about. He told my buddy that "I get them when people order them and then back out" I was told if the CAI doesnt fit that he can modify it. It is amazing.. I asked him to see how much it would cost to make like 5 or so and I get this response that makes me think I was either really drunk when i talked to him, or he hasn't the foggiest idea what it is i, we, want. :slap: :headbang:
