Is there a trick to getting the two tabs at the bottom of the cabin air filter to release? I cannot get my fingers in behind the tabs and there is a plastic thingy in the middle that needs to be pushed up while pulling out the tab. I am trying to push a flat head screw in the middle of the tab to release the plastic lock while pulling out. But it isn't working and I don't want to break the tab.

I use a flat blade screwdriver to get the tabs. Just push down on them lightly and they pop.
