I've had a problem with my steering for a little while now, but I haven't been able to figure out what it is. The steering feels "weaker", and it does take a little more turns to get the same effect as I'm used to. Also when I hit a bump I can feel the wheels move to the left or right suddenly, which I think is bumpsteer.. At highway speeds, the car takes more steering wheel control to keep it straight, I have the tendency to turn the wheel a lot more. It just feels kind of wobbly and out of touch with my controls.
I tried testing for tie rods, I jacked up the car and tried to see if there was any slack moving the wheels back and forth. As far as I could tell moving one wheel moved the other, there might have been a little lag when moving it. But there wasn't any kind of clacking or really obvious slack noises. Any ideas on a better test?
