I'd be all for a grille swap on mine, but bumper removal is a big hassle I don't want to deal with.

Why do you think it's a "big hassle"?

You'd be surprised how little work and how few screws/fasteners are actually keeping it on the car.

I've taken mine off so many times over the years, I can do it with my eyes closed.

In fact, I timed myself once, just for giggles, 12min to remove. Done.

If a grille swap is truly something you desire, don't let the bumper cover removal prevent that from happening.

What takes you 12 min could take one of us with less skill 12 hours, OK maybe not 12 hours but a new grill could take all day. That being said we do appreciate the faith you have in all of us.

Yes much better!!!!!! in fact I was thinking about it, I would need more then 12 minutes just to find the tools to take the front wheel off and then probably another 10 minutes just to get it off. "SHO Jedi you are."

- I am sure they will work fine for you and I am not someone who throws money away, But if it's at all possible I try an buy American, My catted PPE pipes where twice as much as yours buy they are incredibly well built and will last the life of the car an then some. To me they where well worth what I paid for them and so much nicer then the stock pipes.


That is the first I have heard about noise from the springs and that concerns me, since the H&R springs where on my list of things to do. CoilOver are very cool but they are a whole different animal, many people out here have them an love them BUT from my reading it will dramatically changes the way the car rides an handles, they also require a bit of work to set up properly an maintain.

If I had to do the downpipes over aver again, I’d go with a better American made set of catless. The rattle is unnerving.

Coilovers really are the way to go. You have to remember that if you only do the springs, you are only addressing half of the equation. The quality of the BCs is unreal. The affect to the ride quality is a good thing. Since everything is adjustable, there are no limitations. Too firm of a ride? Adjust to a softer setting. Want to take it to the track? Turn the **** in the other direction.

The affect to the ride quality is a good thing

That is subjective to what you are looking for in a ride.

Adjust to a softer setting. Want to take it to the track? Turn the **** in the other direction.

- Your post is generally correct but I'm not sure you are ever going to get a comfortable ride out of a set coil overs BUT assume you are correct, unless you have a set of crazy expensive, electromagnetic shocks its a bit more then just turning a ***. If I am wrong then tell me, BUT once again even if you are right I would think once you do all the work to get your best aggressive/track driving setting dialed in your not going to want to re-set everything just because the wife wants to take a weekend trip to the beach.

This guy, there needs to more people like this guy...or at least one closer to me.

I mean, I do have relatives in the Chicago area...but then I have to tolerate them after that 12 minutes is over.

Its with a heavy heart that I’m saying good bye to my SHO. I didn’t realize how much I would LOVE this car. Converting it to an interceptor style SHO was the icing on the cake. I’ve never experienced anything like it. It’s like there’s a roads rage free zone that just follows my car around like a bubble. Everyone is on their best behavior. Driving on the highway is similar. Like the parting of seas driving on interstate roads. Tomorrow I drop off the car at my local dealer as a trade in for a 2019 Infinity Q50. Which I’m very excited about. I started a FOR SALE thread in the classifieds. Proceeds will be going directly to the Q50 WHP fund. I’m hearing you can get 450whp out of a Q50 with just a tune. Should be interesting.
