friend's SHO has a problem. its a 95 MTX with 95k on it.
Plugs , wires, front bank 02 sensor, were all replaced. fuel filter as well. it ran okay for a few weeks before he put it away for winter. got it out and it ran okay then it started bucking.
will buck anything before secondaries open. today i tried to help him a litle before it goes back to a shop. we tried:
different maf sensor
all vaccum lines are good and connected. it idles rock solid. no miss when its not under a load either
tried a working DIS from a friend's SHO- no change
dielectric grease on all ignition components (plugs wires, coil pack plug, dis plugs, everything is clean and solid. this is a very nice car so everything is correct)
we also did a fuel pressure test. it idles at 33psi and when you tap th gas it goes up to 39 and stays there.
it only does this hesitation when the car is warm. it always starts fine, does not have the typical "no tach" like a CPS would do.
anyone got any ideas? let me know, thank you in advance.
edit: yes i used the search button for the last 45 minutes. this has all the symptoms of a crank sensor but it starts fine and the tach never loses signal.
