Hi all,
I was coming down the interstate and my car started making a very loud blowing and sucking type sound,,, I put my hand down there on the dash side and could feel it blowing air out. I just pulled the intake and valve covers off and when i pulled the plug out where i had my hand, The long stem of the plug came out intact all the way sown to the electrode with the cap. It has sererated from the metal part with the threads, but the part you would put the socket on came out with the plug so its just the threaded part still threaded in and hollow, Any advise on how to get this out??
is there some kind of a tool for this other than EZ outs? maybe a way without taking the head off?
Thanks

Man, I don't envy you. That's been my worst nightmare about working on all these SHOs.

If you drill & easy-out, you're going to want to pull the head to make sure no crap got down in the cylinder anyway. I don't know of a really good way to grab onto it. I'd suggest perusing Snapon.com & see if they have a tool for your problem.

Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

I am very sorry to hear about that problem. For our benefit, could you please tell us what brand of plug that was?
