Well, just got done replacing the REAR MM about a week ago. Now, I'm getting front engine movement!! Here's the thing, I think the movement caused the PS pressure line to get jammed into the firewall, causing the NEW small PS leak I have!

I don't have the cash to spend on a new mount. CWhalenSHO is helping me out so I'm going to attempt to reinforce my own.

****, I'm unemployed so it's not like I don't have the time!

Anybody that has some advice, please post.

Maybe I'll just weld the motor to the subframe...............:braincramp:

Search "Urethane" here on the forum. I did and found a ton of info on how to DIY a reinforced mount.

Looks rather easy just might take a little time but like you said, you have plenty of that.

I think we should take a trip to Jacksonville this weekend too.

You could drill and bolt thru like if you were going to reinforce it with urethane like I and many others have done, and just leave it bolted for a while until you get the chance to buy the urethane. Would only cost ya a couple bucks for the bolts and nuts..

The mount was already reinforced, I just didn't notice how bad the rubber was until it ruined my pressure line.

I have the cash for the urethane so I'll probably start on the mounts in a few days.

Chast, Jacksonville is surely a must. Oh, I might need to borrow your floor jack and jack stands when you're not using them.

LET THE PROJECT..............BEGIN!!

It's all still cheaper than a payment

I looked online and the urethane doesn't seem to be that pricey.

I'll have to make a call out to that junkyard to see what they still have out there.

Just let me know when you need the jack and the stands. You're more than welcome to borrow them anytime :salute:

Thanks man!

It's about $30 for the urethane I want (HARD!!).

I can't find anything about the extra bolts that go INTO the mount for extra support.

Anybody have any pics??

Is it true that the motor mount shocks are not needed when reinforced mounts are used?
