Not that the Prov show was bad, but what gets my attention is the "old school hot rods/street machines"

Me too Ken. Seeing the new models was OK, but I'll take the classic car shows any day.:thumb:

So how does everyone feel about making the breakfast an hour later this time, say 10am, so we could transition right to the F1 event ( http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=70753 ) immediately following breakfast?

It's beginning to sound like a pretty cool day. Breakfast buffet followed by Cart racing with Kirk, and wrapping up the day with "Bond-Burgers, Bail-me-out Beers, Continuance-Corn and Freedom-Fries".

Of course, Bob's got it!

I don't think we would have to change times for the breakfast Mel. seeing as we usually don't go in until 9:30 is ... that would give us two and a half hours before we ABSOLUTELY had to leave to hit F1. F1 is about a 20 minute drive from Hometown Buffet, so I would say leaving the breakfast at 12-noon would get us there in time. Adn if we got there early, there is a lot to see at F1.

John, you don't need to pay to attend F1. only if you want to race. You could always spectate. First time I went, after a NESHOC meeting years ago, I was a spectator. Just hang out up top, watch the guys be idiots and get yelled at by the staff for driving recklessly, then hang out for lunch or just a beer or two.

If Im not in Florida by this meet. (most likely I will) Ill def. be in for beakfast only.

Every go kart place I go to I get kicked out for clipping. Racing someone as competitive as Kirk is... Id be out there playing dirty. Never been to F1 though. Sounds like fun.

Jay, they don't play nice at F1. I remember someone putting someone else into the wall so hard that their damn car got stuck!

Sure is open to everyone. I don't think I've paid my NESHOC dues in about four years and everyone still speaks to me. :)

its easy. coming from the south, just go up 95 to exit 9 in MA, go north on rt1 for about 2 miles and it will be on ure right. u cant miss it, its in the walpole mall and there is a taco **** right in the parking lot also. and if ure coming from the north its right off exit 10, just take a right at the end of the ramp and it is up less then a mile on ure right.
i think i drive these roads to much to know this off the top of my head:nut:

It might be worth it if you've never seen anyone scoff 10-12 chicken fried steaks....oops, sorry Mel :salute:

Ha! Ya, this year it's all oatmeal and bananas... :)

Which curiously brings to mind a timely question: How many of you have stuck with your New Years' resolutions?

I'm doing real good with mine, but it's an easy one. I've resolved to to only drinking beer from a glass while inside our home. Needless to say, I've been spending a little more time out in the garage...

Address of the restaurant:

Old Country Buffet
Walpole Mall
90 Providence Highway
East Walpole, MA 02032
(508) 660-2000

And to the kart racing facility:

F1 Boston
290 Wood Road
Braintree, MA 02184
781-848-2300

I'm pretty sure this is the F1 everyone's talking about. I Googled F1 Boston and came up with this. One of the other members that's been there, could you confirm this?

If you happen to get lost/stuck/otherwise impaired, feel free to call my cell. It's 401-569-5288. I don't know the area extremely well, but we'll all be together so we'll be able to get you to us. :thumb:
