i bought these brand new in the box motorcraft rear struts from a private seller.. they have not even been released yet.. however.. i am trying to list them on ebay right now.. but i want to be sure which year car they are specific to..

here is the part number: f7az18125pb

and here is what the search on ford parts network came up with:

$87.95 $73.00
Rear Suspension, Sedan W/Disc Brakes, Suspension Components, Strut, W/O Sho, From 4/92

what does that mean? W/0 SHO, from 4/92??

mid year in 92 they changed from a vented rotor to a solid disc for all disc brake equipped cars. So essentially, it's saying that it's for any Gen II Taurus with solid rotors and that isn't a sho.

"w/o SHO" (without SHO) and "exc. SHO" (except SHO) typically mean the part isn't intended for the SHO. A lot of parts will cross-over, and a lot of parts are identical except for a different p/n.

How can these struts not be released since you have them in your possesion? They are listed on FPN's website which means anyone can order them.

FWIW, Josh at SHO Nut also lists that exact p/n for the 89-92 SHO, so chances are Ford is now specifiying the same part for both SHO's and SLO's, which is becoming increasingly common.

If you want to sell them, the classifieds here or eBay would be good ways.

i meant released as they are compressed at the factory for easier shipping.. and they must be unreleased prior to installation.. these struts are brand new and have not yet been released.. this is the way it was explained to me.. ok.. i would assume that these struts will fit 89-92 taurus SHO.. who wants to buy them now?
