Forgive the question rattling, but I'm trying to get the SHO maintainence out of the way all in a short amount of time. Right now as it stands after driving the SHO for a lil bit (in this weather) the brake pedal sticks and does no return (booster spring I assume has gone). For the cheapo fix what length spring do I need, and what size is the hole I drill thru the rod to the brake pedal?

Also I notice sometimes the brakes seem more pressurize then other times. ie. sometimes when stopped the brakes don't go as far down to achieve the necessary braking power as other times? What could be the cause of this. Do I need to drain the brake fulid and fill it back up with some new stuff.

Thanks again. Paul

I can't answer about the booster spring...I have yet to learn about that. But the other problem sounds like you may need to give your system a good bleeding. Don't let the master cyl. go dry of fluid though. You'll play **** getting the air out of it once it is. Just keep bleeding all 4 wheels and refilling it up top. That should help some however it may not be your sole problem. You also may want to check the pads all around just for good measure.

pads are good - just did the front and the back is still plenty meaty. Guess its over to the Shotimes FAQ for the directions and get my buddy over here to give me a hand with it.

There is no booster spring. If the pedal is not returning, the brake booster is bad.I think it`s costly, and i know is a major pain to replace. You might have been thinking about the SHOTIMES fix. When the booster get`s weak, you can put a spring on the pedal to help it pull back up.But if your pedal isn`t returning at all,you may need to replace the booster all together.

Thats exactly what I am talking about... its not that it doesnt return at all, but like you said, not all the way... enough so that the pads are touching the rotors and causing drag so I have to kick the pedal up. Ill Check SHOtimes for the spring around the pedal fix.
