When I drive the car, I get this whine/hum noise from the rear right brake. When I apply the brakes, the noise goes away. Everything seems to be tight back there. What am I missing?
Thanks!

It could also be a bearing in the rear, when you brake, you reduce speed, and the noise would be lessened as well. How old are your tires? Older tires can make noise as well at higher speeds, and even tire pressure can make a difference.
I would be surprised if it was a loose brake part.
