To do 11.6's in the rear, you'll also need 89-92 calipers, brackets (unless you have an 89-92 SHO), and bracket adapters that SHO Source sells (this you will need regardless).

The 96-99 pads, or PN ending in 598.

Mmmm, I just picked up a set of pads-PFCM's for my 96 upgrade & I told them for a 96-99SHO & they gave me 601's. I compared with a used set I had of the 598's & they are the same basic shape but the 598's are 1/4" taller. Does that 1/4" make a noticeable difference?

On a street car the difference may not be noticeable. I ran the 601s on my old car with the 96 brakes just to use up the pads. Either fit, either will work, the 598s do use more of the rotor face for braking, which is "better" than the 601s.

Thanx guys!
another question: I got 11.6 rotors sitting around waiting for 94/95 knuckles. got the knuckles now so.. the rotors have surface rust on them. Is there a reason I should clean them up before install or will the 'bedding' process take care of that?

If it's just surface rust there's no need to clean it. The pads will take it off in a few applications of the brake. It won't hurt anything.
