So I just got my car back from service, they replaced the brake booster as well as some other parts, because I was complaining that the brakes were terrible! So I drove it home and they felt exactly the same.

So what I want to know is how do your breaks feel, specifically pedal travel.
My pedal has about I wanna say 2 inches of travel before anything happens, I want to know if this is just normal for these cars?
I'm used to my wives 2015 Jetta which has brakes that grab as soon as u think of breaking :eeeeeek:

Yeah, the brakes in my '10 were terrible, too, even after swapping out the booster and m/c. Putting on EBC reds and slotted rotors helped but not that much.

The brakes on the '15 are far better.

They are scary bad, I had them adjust the pedal, so now it engages a little earlier in the travel, but the brakes are still crap! How they could put such terrible brakes on a high performance model is beyond me!

I said exactly that a few days after I got my '10 and started working on fixing the problem, to nearly no avail.

From what I understand, starting in '13 the brakes got improved, so that was going to be my next plan, to start retro-fitting the newer stuff, but then the crash happened, so . . . . . . .

The brakes on the '15 are so much better that I'm not even thinking of getting the EBC stuff for it until they're in need of replacing. One big difference is the rear rotors are vented. Don't know what the other upgrades are, but they sure make a difference!!

Put on a powerstop or ebc kit, yiu won't be stuck. Along with caliper maintenance and fluid r&r.

I have a '15 and am actually very impressed with the braking given the weight of the vehicle.
