I am getting a brake fluid change / bleed. How many liters of DOT 4 should I give to my mechanic to do this?

it dosnt actually it just says between min and max reservoir.

5 pints is overkill.

1 to suck out the fluid from the reservoir and replace the build you sucked out. Due to reservoirs size this isn't much. Then 1 pint for each corner. This will get everything out.

And if you can, use a vacuum bleeder (or pressure bleeder) so your master cylinder doesnt get run though any debris in the cylinder and damage the seals..

If you ABS bleed using Ford IDS software, 2 quarts will be used. The only way to do it right.
