Andy & Nikki came up to G.B. today and we changed the brakes on my 93. We had a pretty good time and little difficulties. If anyone ever needs help doing brakes, I am willing to help (at least with the front ones), as I am pretty confident I would be able to do this job again.

Well when you learn back one's let me know! Neither of my rear brakes are working due to the fact they are getting no fluid. The valve to the rear is most likely screwed up. cry

I replaced the caliper on my back brakes a few weeks back - but couldn't get the mounting bracket off. Gotta take it to CarX or somewhere to get them to blast off a stuck and partially stripped bolt.

I do have a funk "whiirrrr" sound coming from there, but I'm attributing it to the warped rotor that needs changing (w/the replacement sitting in my bedroom headbang )

We were unable to do the back ones as one bolt on each side would not come loose. WD-40, torch, wrench..........all to no avail. I will just take it to the garage this week and have them get the bolts out and replace them with new bolts (and a dab of anti-sieze). It really irritaded me that the bolt would not come loose, as the car has never seen salt.

We were able to get one bolt off, but I couldn't manage to get the rotor off ... just didn't seem like enough room.

Any clue where to get those new bolts? Think Ford would have 'em in stock?

You can get them through Ford, but they most likely won't have them in stock.

I had to heat up one of my bolts with a torch as it was stuck in order for it to come out. I lubed those suckers up real good when I put them back in though.
