I replaced my rear brake shoes this weekend. While I was pushing/twisting the piston back into the caliper, it formed a wet ring around the bottom of the rubber boot. It was def. brake fluid and now I must weigh my options. I was curious if anyone sells rebuilt calipers, complete with new piston and seals. Or would it be much cheaper to just find a rebuild kit and just do it myself? Thanks.

It's cheaper do do it yourself -- caliper rebuild kits for the rear are about $5/each (although they can be a PITA), but if the leak is due to a bad piston the best bet is to go to AutoZone or similar chain for rebuilt calipers around $30/ea + core with a lifetime warranty.

I just got two rebuilt calipers from AZ. The price is reasonable at $30 bucks each, but the core charge is kinda steep ($70 each eek! ). Plus, the guy at AZ ended up giving me the wrong caliper and I got a brand new one instead of a rebuilt one in one of the boxes  .
