Yeah i know it's not my section nor do i own a gen 4 but i was just curious if somebody yet has experimented with aftermarket BOV's that vent to the atmosphere yet? I was looking on youtube to see if i could find a sound clip. came up with nothing.

Why would we need a bov? Doesnt the factory have surge valves? Also doesnt the car have a maf sensor?

The car doesn't have a MAF sensor. It uses MAP (manifold absolute pressure)

Nice. I guess I can still say I have never owned a turbocharged car with a maf sensor. The last 5 all had map sensors. Do you know if each turbo has a surge valve?

Having a BOV hit the atmosphere is stupid ricer shit. It's all metered air on any car built in the last 20+ years, so it makes no sense.

FWIW, I knocked the silencer off my airboxon my LGT when I hit a dog (RIP.....******* dog!!) and it broke off. The sound from the BOV was then annoying, more than anything. About as "ricer" as venting the NOS out the cowl.

While all of my Turbo Vehicles never had a Atmospheric BOV, They all made noise threw the filter. I didn't mind it.

RIP doggie.
Poor dog might have been more sensitive don't you think.
Yeah they're "*******" sometimes, but their devotion makes up for that and more.

Had to comment -- pardon the off topic./

Stupid dog shouldn't have been in the road.

******* owners should keep better tabs on their dog.
