Looks good, I'm surprised it has the '96-'97 chromies on there, but I think those are better then the '98-'99 wheels with the SHO!

Trent

edit: or did they come with those stock on the 98's? :shakehead

Do you know if it was ever hit? I'm asking because the grille insert with the Ford emblem is usually body color on SHOs, and yours is non-painted flat black. Anyone else notice that?

Other than that, looks like a nice SHO!

He's referring to the "spear" that the oval is housed on. It's supposed to be body-coloured.

I agree, front bumper does not match the hood either. Unless it is the angle.

Nice car though. Welcome to the low mile club.

96/97 could be either Painties OR Chromies (96 Chromies are WAY Better than 97/98 Chromies). 98 are ALL Chromies - No Paintie Option IIRC. 99's were the Aluminum Wheel that was also available on SE's.

The Black Grill insert is definitely NOT the original one. Another Dead giveaway to a front end replacement is the radiator support - If it HAS Been replaced it will usually be BLACK. Better Bodyshops will repaint this to match occasionally, but not too often in My experiences. His Radiator Support IS the proper color, so maybe the car just got poked gently in a parking lot or something.
That Sticker on the Driver's side of the radiator support is a Dealer PCM Reflash Sticker, Usually something done pretty early in an ownership cycle, so I'd say that the radiator support has been there a while.

Also, FWIW - The Insurance Company just gave me ~$7300.00 for my totalled 42,000 mile `97. That was AFTER the $500.00 Deductible and various other charges. $7000.00 for under 50k on a `98 seems about good enough if it was a dealer sale.

I always thought that all '96 were chrome and 97/98 had the option for paint. But you probably know better than I.

On my window sticker it listed everything as standard equipment. And it listed the power antenna seperate as a no charge option. However, it was standard on the 98.
