So I've enjoyed my Bondurant struts for a while now, they've performed great with Intrax springs and are still performing quite well for having upwards of 100K on them.

From what I remember, these were basically re-valved Monroe's...but can anyone shed any more light on this? Did the Bondurant cars run lowering springs? I ask this because there's so much talk on this site about the negatives of running a stock style strut with a lowering spring...but I'm curious how much different these Bondurant's are from a stock strut???

Randomly thinking...

The Bondurants are custom valved and I think the springs might have been custom too. I think Todd from TCE used to work there and could probably answer intelligently if he saw the post. Been a long time since these hit the open market and I bet the old info was lost in a server crash.

Ken Thom at Bondurant told SHOAZ and I that the springs were stock and Monroe re-valved their struts just for them.

I wonder then how a Monroe Sensatrac would compare??? I'm getting ready to do some pre-winter maintenance and am considering replacing the struts now while I'm in there...

They would work, not sure how they would compare. I put sensatracs on my GenIII and they are definitely softer and don't handle as well as the oems I replaced.

Bondurant/Roush Monroe SHO Struts

From what I remember, The valving in the Bonduant struts from Monroe was not even close to anything that Monroe ever made for retail sale.

I never did comfirm, but I was told that the Bondo SHO's had Police Interceptor springs matched with those custom struts. Not sure if this was some of the cars or all of the cars, as stated I never did confirm the part numbers on the springs.

:)
