What size socket is need to remove the two tiny bolts that hold the shifter bushing retainer bracket in place on the shifter end of the rod shifter actuator rod? My new bushing came in but I nned to buy a socket for those tiny bolts.

It has been a while since I last had the shifter box apart on my shifter and I am not sure exactly to which bolts you are referring, but Ford had a tendency to use 5.5mm or 7/32" bolts on small plastic parts. Are the subject bolts about that size?

No, the box indeed is held on with 5.5mm (along with half of the car it seems  ) but the bracket bolts themselves are much smaller, I'm guessing 3mm or so. I just want to get the correct socket rather than a range.
