Was the hpfp different from 2012 to 2015? New engine but block code is 2012. It also came with the hpfp that installed on it now. I heard they were different somehow
It can't be too different because if it's moved, that would mean different cams as that thing sits on a lobe of the front intake cam.

When I first joined this forum, LMS was considered the gold standard. I thought about doing the basic tune with a 3 bar map, plugs and a thermostat. But I had a 7 year CPO drive train warranty and didn't want to void that. Glad I made the right choice.

Sorry you are left to sort through the pieces...a familiar ending with other LMS tunes. It’s more like a virus than a tune. Glad to see you’re staying with it and replacing the motor...and tuner!!

Me and my neighbors will start hacking the motor out this week, are any of the current trusted tuners using ngauge? The LMS tuner is a 80s pager with no detail.

They probably dumbed down the tune from v11 to v17. Better off with GH or AJP
Did they really release another tune after v11 ? If you had to pick between GH or AJP which one would you choose and why?

Yes, LMS did release a couple more tunes after V11. Can you tell us what tune you had.

It is a toss up between GH and AJP. GH has done a bunch of cool things for our cars, his tunes are good but his trans tuning is top notch. AJP has the fastest SHO's and makes the most power. However Brad (AJP) can be hard to get ahold of because he is not a full time tuner. He also only tunes with SCT.

Honestly, knowing more of GH now. Id be real stuck. GH has best shifting and auto octane tune, better "customer service".

Went to AJP because he is local to me, he learns me how the tune works with big words, crackle pop bang bang and ghost cam tunes. Lots of little things like the gear number always showing. Brad at AJP is probably the best in my opinion but he has another full time job and doesn't respond too quick if that matters. May wait a few days or more if doing mods for it to safely run at high rpm

The original email from Anthony does not say its v11 BUT I am sure that it is as it just came out at that time and fixed some sort of issue running in cold weather. I still have the tuner and maybe can redownload the software from the email links, is there a way I can easily verify?

It would say what tune is available when you plug it into the car. Example "v11 93 3 bar" something like that

Lots of fun times on v11. Reason I kept it for when I upgrade the hpfp and take another look at the fuel pressure data log.

so LMS is the new SSI? Cant they get sued with the amount of motors this tune is blowing up?
Just out of curiosity, have you brought this to their attention, and if so, what's their response?

There should've been a very thorough and vigorus recall effort by LMS after the v11 debacle to get the word out on its failures....if nothing else, inform the customers who were running it with some information...

...hence the issues I have with LMS (among many many other issues).

I have not sent them a message as I know they will not do anything for me at this point. I checked my email and I did not receive any updates or notification about an updated tune after v11 was loaded on the tuner initially. There is probably a lot of guys out there on this tune still waiting to blow up that dont keep up with the forums.

I'd be interested to know their reaction when you call them up saying v11 blew your motor....

Just joining in. When you pull your motor, do a bench side-by-side inspection with both motors paying particular attention to the valve cover openings and hoses, cam sensors on the front of the valve covers, and pull both flywheels and look for any difference in hardware sensors that are spotwelded on. If any of these are not identical, use the parts from your 2015 motor. I would not buy a motor with more than 50,ooo miles on it. Oil changes make or break this motor, unless Livernois is chosen. Then they will break. I follow GH's every recommendation, and have had 84,000 trouble free miles. This is my favorite car, and I've had more than 50 of 'em!!

Thought I read somewhere that the timing sensors on the back of the engine was different on the 2010-12's compared to latter motors as well?
