Hey guys,

Unfortunately my engine has blown up with 80k miles, the motor is seized and wont turn. The car has been LMS tuned for 2 years. Can anyone point me to a decent motor? Will a 2013 SHO motor work if so is there anything extra needed other than getting ford to program my pcm to work with the new engine?

LMS sho tune is trash and I would not recommend it to anyone, especially the 93oct. LMS will not datalog and adjust your car, I mentioned to them I was running high knock at wot and they told me its normal for their tune....Well 2 years later it went boom during wot to maybe 4500-5k rpm?

Does anyone know if the 2013-2014 sho motor is a direct swap into 2015 ?

Welcome to the party...glad you're on board, many of us know how trash they are and always steer folks clear. You're issues are shared with many.

I know this doesn't help with your current situation though...

Yes, I believe that a swap from a 2013+ is pretty much a direct swap.

Thats very intersting because when I was researching sho tunes LMS seemed to have come out as most trusted and reliable on various forums few years back. I should of stuck with my mustang tuner who would of had this thing adding timing instead of knocking but my mustang tuner has not done any SHO's really so did not want to go that route.

No, they just outspent other shops & tuners on advertising. I can name at least 3, if not more, more reputable ecoboost tuners.

But as was stated, a 2013 should bolt right up, all the way up to a 2019. Lower miles the better...

Short block is identical and I think even the long block might be as well.

If i remember right there is 1 PCV line that is different in the front on 13's from 13.5+ on the front of the motor but outside of that it should be pretty much the same.

You aren't the first my friend. They were good for plug and play. Then V11 hit and all **** broke loose.

Like I said, I am pretty sure the Engines are a direct swap. Maybe @SHOdded would have more insight as well.

Once you get it up and running, I would look at Gearhead or AJPTurbo for your next tune. You will be surprised at how much safer their tunes are, and how much more power they make.

Also, a slight hint would have been that they said the Knock was "A OK!" with their tune. I would have uninstalled that shit in a heartbeat and been done with them as soon as I heard/read that. Sorry for your loss bud.

Rear valve cover is different because of pcv. Not sure what year engine FR used for valve covers.

Well rear valve cover had open ports compared to my 15' stock engine

Yes I think it was v11, it just came out when I tuned it, almost 2 full years, short 3 months.

Fuel pressure issue i had. I have emails from Anthony at lms saying my tune is safe for a certain percentage of ethanol. I ran what they said was safe and it blew shorty after. I brung it to his attention on email and he said he never said that yet I have it on email from him saying a 15 is safe with that tune for e85. Not researching e85 and running it blindly its kinda my fault. Now I know better. 10k$ + later.

V11 still has a fuel pressure issue as Brad saw it on a data log i sent him.

15+ valve covers are different. went composite versus metal, which moved the PCV locations and the HPFP location slightly.

Was the hpfp different from 2012 to 2015? New engine but block code is 2012. It also came with the hpfp that installed on it now. I heard they were different somehow

I don't believe the factory HPFP is any different, just slightly different orientation due to the composite manifolds and how they had to install the inserts for the screws.
