Im having trouble bleeding the LR brake on my '89. Car is sitting on the ground, and bias valve is "loose" as it should be. It is bleeding, but requires tremendous pressure to get the fluid moving. Im not so worried about getting it bled, because it is now, Im just worried about what could make the brake SO HARD to bleed?

Any ideas? Could this be a bias valve issue?

Thanks! :thumb:

The rear brake hose could be swollen shut on the inside. The bleeder could be filled with rust and be blocked. There could be a problem in the proportioning valve. To name a few possibilities! rangerj

thanks for the quick reply.

My main concern is this:

If it was THAT HARD to bleed, wouldnt that mean that it would take just as much pressure to get that particular brake to function?

Ah damn, I feel dumb.

I figure it out. OPERATOR ERROR

The hose I was using, as it was attached to the bleed screw, was actually closing the bleed screw when I took the wrench off of the bleed screw.

Oh yeah, brake fluid flows wonderfully when the valve is actually open

Thanks guys.
