So I'm hopefully getting a couple new airbags soon. It's a green on mocha car. I was thinking about staying with the mocha for the steering wheel and getting a black one for the passenger side along with the 2 trim pieces that go on each side of it... think that would look OK? Has anyone tried it yet?

Too much for me, especially the steering wheel. Maybe if it was a little more subtle, not many ways around that.

To each their own.

Doing something like black door panels, dash, and headliner with mocha carpet and seats might not look bad but IMO changing random parts to another color is kinda ricey to me.

I'm not really trying to make it a nice two-toned interior. I just might be getting airbags soon so I thought it might not look bad to put some more black in the dash since the area where the controls are is already black. I'm thinking of snagging the steering wheel from the black car too if it's not too expensive. Not sure which color bag I'd go with in that case... I like the way yours is done SHO_Continental, but I dunno if it would look as good without all the other black.

On second thought, what do good black interior parts generally go for around the forum? I think the seats are in pretty good condition. They're 50/50s too which I'd like. Right now I keep a towel on the seat in the morning anyway, so I don't freeze my a** off on the leather. If I can get stuff for a decent price I might go for it, and possibly resell later on, hopefully to a forum member who needs it. Maybe I could just take the leather/cloth off the seats so I don't have to buy the whole thing. Hmm, decisions decisions...

Also, I'm under the impression that good black interior parts a generally rare, which is all the more reason to grab what I can. Am I right about that?

EDIT: How tough is it to swap the seat covers anyway? Any special tools needed?

EDIT 2: Holy crap! I went back to the JY today, that interior is almost MINT! Perfect steering wheel, very good front seats, 1 single split on a seam in the back seat... I WANT! lol

My '93 was originally green/mocha, I swapped it to black except for the airbags and the top piece of the center console.

I think that might look better if it was black/grey not really digging the mocha with the black.
