I have a 94 SHO and tonight after I got home from the store the dome light would not go out. Yes, I made sure the switch was off, the doors were all closed... blah, blah, blah.... and during my check I realized that on the rear drivers side door the piece that pops out (name??) was already pushed all of the way in. I WD-40'd it and pulled the piece out and when I pushed it back in it did not spring back out. Could this be the problem? I tried to take the piece off of the car and as I was turning it to the left it kept trying to turn back to the right... like it has a spring behind it. If I take the piece off, will it screw up that part? Is there some other way besides disconnecting my battery for me to fix this? Of course it is Saturday night on Labor Day weekend so the chance of finding a working mechanic is vilch... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
