I am editing so specific info is gone. I believe Damien should be the one to give specifics about what happened insted of what someones opinion of what happened. Please leave specifics out of public text until Damien is ready to tell the story. This is important, thanks for understanding.

Keep them in your prayes you guys. If you aren't religious, just please remember them. But I think we can all agree on one thing...

Thank goodness he was in a Taurus! :)

I think one of the biggest things that got me was the fact that Damien decided to swap cars at the last minute and bring the "tank" instead. Anybody read where he had been planning to bring his lil' Focus on the run? I can only imagine what would have happened if he and his wife had wrecked and flipped in that little shell of a car. :ruhroh:

As I told Beth, thank the Big Man for small miracles. :thumb:

Of course, I don't know if he would have crashed in the Focus. Those things are on rails. SHO is still a nose-heavy front-driver no matter how you slice it. In the hands of somebody driving around an SVT Focus, bad things can happen. :(

Very good point, and I have no reason (at all) to question Damien's driving ability, especially when it comes to that little "rail" you call a Focus. ;)

Assuming for a moment, however, that something had happened where he could not control the car (eg. slick spot, tire blow-out, brake failure, etc) and he was in the Focus, then things could have been much, much worse.

Bottom line, I'm just glad to know that D, his wife and everyone else are physically ok.

Quick note...Brit is ok, although she was life-flighted to the hospital...Both are ok minus some cuts and bruises.

It was a horrible looking scene, but I am quite happy the 2 are basically fine.

Can't wait to see them again!

For those of you that may have heard of me but I have yet to meet, I'm Damien's brother, Tommy.

I want to sincerely thank those of you that helped him throughout this tragedy. Without you, things would've been MUCH worse.

I've just seen the pix, and both Damien and Britt are lucky to be alive; or to be as slightly injured as they are. That SHO took a beating to save their lives.

BTW: I was broadsided in my SVTF about 3 weeks ago. I was hit in the driver's door by a Camry going close to 40 mph---and walked out without injuries. Ford's doing a **** OF A JOB with safety these days.

Kudos to Ford. Kudos to YOU for helping out.
