That's just under 47K miles of logged fillups for any of the non believers. I wouldn't waste my time making this stuff up and filling in all that info. The majority of my miles are getting on a freeway and driving 20 plus miles to and from work at 65-70mph with almost no slowing down and speeding up for traffic. These cars can be very efficient, but any idling or stop and go driving at all, and the mileage will drop like a rock.

Just curious, have you ever done a KAM reset, Jordan? Wondering if the PCM relearns your driving conditions, will it make a difference afterwards.

I think factory tune differences in economy are fairly mild anyway, they are tuning more for hp/tq (which also by mod standards is mild).

I haven't done one or know how. I figured car would adjust that automatically with me having driven it well over a year now. I'm all for trying tho

Pull the negative battery cable for 40+ minutes then reconnect. Drive till the P1000 code that sets when you do this goes away. Done.

Cool thanks, I'm not the most savy by a long shot with car stuff tho i wish i was. I have put on my own cai and did my own muffler delete on my previous wrx but that's the peak level of skillsets as i have lol.

Yes, stock wheels and when I bought that car it had Michelin primacies the first 40K+ miles. I was stock from January when I bought it until May (approximately 7K miles, the next 40K miles were all tuned by LMS. Somewhere in there I added downpipes and I started noticing about 1 mpg less, but it's possible that could have been partially my right foot's fault.

Good question... I am embarrassed to say that I haven't checked it for the past year... but they are round, spin and don't look like they are missing air

HAHAH, put them at 40 psi and see what happens. That was the sweet spot for my SHO.

That is also what I run my ST at.

I track mine the same. I have a similar commute at similar speeds, and we get the same average fuel mileage. 23 average so far on mine. It's been creeping up slowly, since the first few months I owned it were dragged down by a bad wheel bearing and 19 MPG.

Went back and read the last page.

A "hero" tank of all highway isn't at all representative of the combined mileage over the life of the vehicle, including driving it through hot summers and cold winters.

Just the difference in when pumps click off can make a few MPG difference in one fill up. You need to average it out over months at least, and preferably and years to know what you are really getting.

Still was averaging around 24 to 25 mpg combine before my e30 tune.

Over the last 10 fill ups I'm at 24, so that sounds right. I just don't see anyone doing 30 on a continued basis unless they live and work right on/near a highway and always drive 55-60 mph for nearly the entire tank. Any stop and go driving would make it impossible IMO.

I get 30 combined in my ST. That is the comment about having a 13k upgrade for fuel mileage. Lol.

I drive alot of highway miles. At 80 mph. The fuel efficiency drops to about 19mpg. For me. If i stay at 65 mph it clims to 23 mpg. Tire psi is 37.
