Mine went out and I need a new one. I don't think I need a High-flow one, since I have very minimal mods (CAI, and Y pipe). Unless you would recomned it? Would a used one from a junkyard be any good, or stay away from it?
Also I need a new ETC switch.

Thanks in advance

Really, the units are cheap enough that you should just buy a new one. I'm not sure if you have Carquest Autoparts by you, but they sell a 155lph Mustang pump for $76.99. Hope this helps.

Not bad, I think I do have carquest around here. But a 155 is a higher flow, correct? I wonder if thier stock one is even cheaper. I will have to check.

Thanks

What is the advantage of having a higher flowing fuel pump? For one thing, I save money wherever I can, even if it is just 5 bucks. Second, it seems that it would just waste more fuel by pumping more fuel away, and into my engine.
Or am I just insane? Or maybe just a *****? wink

The advantage of using a higher flow fuel pump is the pump doesn't have to work as hard to flow the amount of fuel the SHO needs. In theory it would last longer. Also, one worry with the stock pump is that rather than fail outright, some might continue working but not supply enough fuel at WOT giving you a lean condition and SHO Boom!

I replaced 2 Carters about 30K miles on each. Get an OEM Ford replacement F3DZ 9H307 D, well worth the extra money ($160.74 total) The Ford part includes the gauge/sender so you don't have to dismantle/reassemble the pump within the housing.
