Best in terms of cooling capability while not being unnecessarily expensive.

Easy installation/good fit would be a plus.

I don't race it, but in KS it's not uncommon to see 100 in July and Aug.
I just want it to last as long as possible.
The people with high mileage trans' seem to be running them, so it's something I'd like to add this spring.

other suggestions?

Best choice is to remove the hardlines from the transmission all together. Install new brass barbs in the transmission, run new 3/8" transmission line to the factory cooler, loop that through a Gen II ATX cooler, and back to the transmission.

The best upgrade is the Gen 2 ATX coolers. And you can get 'em from a junkyard for cheap. Just clean it out real well before installing.

I'm officially on the lookout for the gen II cooler. The only response I've gotten back through car-part.com is $50 shipped. I want to see if I can do better than that.
I only came up with 2 or 3 listings when I just searched for the cooler.

But I've sent out another request to 8 or 10 JY's that have the 3.2 engines listed. So hopefully I'll get some more offers going that route.

If anyone has a source let me know.

Update: Found one for about $38 shipped. I'm guessing that will be hard to beat having to ship one.
