I just got a '90 SHO. The engine bay is a bit dirty :(. In my previous cars, I used to use Tire Foam on the engine, let is sit while engine was running, and then use the car pressure washer (low pressure) to clean. Always seemed to work. Anyone know if this will be okay on the Yamaha engine?

Never tried tire foam myself, but the process you mention works. Get engine warm, spray cleaner all over, clos hood and let soak, then wash off with low pressure.

After, you will want to pull plug wires and blow out plug wells with pressurized air.

This is also a great way to find out if you have any engine problems. You'll find any vacuum leaks, oil leaks or electrical plugs that don't seal. :thumb:
