i ordered the rear kit from midwest sho. But my fronts are junk after 2 years. Is fords new plastic ones better? or is there a better heavy duty alternative with poly bushings.

read my last post in your previous thread about this....

you basically have two options on the front... and there really aren't any bushings... it is two ball joints on either side of a bar or plastic "truss" ..... Ford/TRW/Perfect Circle use the plastic "truss" design and non-greasable joints ... MOOG uses a thick steel bar with greasable joints..... the only place you could put polyeurethane on these end links would be poly boots on the ends of the ball joints...... but they wouldn't really serve a purpose...

even though I have the plastic ones on my car right now, and they came with it, I'm gonna be replacing them with the MOOG parts with the grease fittings. My car makes so much noise right now when turning from the outer tie rods that I'm changing them cause of the noise and lack of a grease fitting.

My plastic ones seem fine, car feels just right, but for the $25 bucks a side I want to have all new stuff in there. I had the plastic ones on my old 94 GL and they lasted 160k miles of driving on back roads, a 2000ft long dirt driveway (with potholes), and general abuse that my 21-22 year old self at the time put on the car. Hmm That car really could get some nice air.

I just like the idea of the greasable links, gives me something morew to do with my car :D

O'Reilly Auto Parts also has them, by next week hopefully i will have a national account set up for SHOForum members.... working on the details of it now.... essentially, it will be a discount on things like motorcraft, moog, gates, fel-pro, etc..... things we need for our cars

that sounds awesome on that national account.

My car is a 94 and it has the plastic ones. I really like the idea of being able to grease all that stuff. Especially now casue my tie rod ends are squeaking like a ****. I'm inner & outer tie rods, 1 front link, and Front LCA's away from a full suspension overhaul in the front, and I have the endlinks for the rear waiting too.

24/26 Combo + Koni's + Intrax + all new mounts + all those moog parts + 17's will = me :)

Louis,

A national account sounds great. One question though. Is this going to be through O'Reilly or another vendor? Reason I'm asking is there is no O'Reilly anywhere nearby and they don't do internet/shipping sales.
