My clutch has started buzzing and it is getting really difficult to shift. I suspect its on the way out. The care has a Centre Force Dual Friction clutch now ..... but I was wondering if there are better ones out there?

What are you guys using for forced induction setups?

Does that come with the pressure plate and t.o.b. Doug?

I would imagine it does come with a pressure plate, as it is a dual diaphram. With that, I would imagine you could use any clutch disc you'd like!

What's better than double D's!?

That's a complete clutch kit (disc, PP and TOB).

Just installedone in a high HP N/A car. Nice and grippy, light pedal, no chatter.

I've never read anything good about the Centerforce clutch for the SHO. Never had one so I don't know first hand.

Like Murph said, the Clutchmaster Stg III (same thing as SS Race) has been proven on many boosted SHOs. It uses a Kevlar disc and dual diaphragm pressure plate. Heavier pedal and I've read different opinions on its streetability, but everybody seems to like it. I don't think I've driven a SHO with this clutch.

Actually, yeah. I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't take two feet to get the clutch in. It's much lighter than DD clutches have been in the past.

And at $629 for the kit, it's not that bad a hit.

What kind of disc material, Doug?

BTW, if you're looking for a clutch to use in a S/C'd SHO, I would suggest using a DD PP. You can't go wrong with extra clamp load and possibilities of using a clutch disc less prone to eat away at your flywheel and pp surface.

It uses a high performance carbon/organic material for chatter free operation. The fricton coefficient is similar to the Stage 1 clutch, but with double the clamping load, it'll hold up nicely in high hp applications.

what makes clutchmaster stage III better than the center force just wonder because i have a center force on it.
Everything... :) The centerforce never seemed to work quite right on the SHOs especially when combined with lighter flywheels.

The Clutchmasters Stage III setup uses a dual diaphram disc which results in much more clamp load and uses a kevlar disc. It will handle anything you can throw at it and more.

Robby, While Josh is using his disc on his car I beleive he is still using a CM DD pressure plate.

I've been using a Centerforce III dual friction clutch for a few years and it works good, but I'm interested in that Clutchmasters III you taled about . I looked at the Clutchmasters website and they say it is only avaialbale for '91 and later cars ...... ??

I thought the manual trans was the same for all the v6 cars?
