Best choice for LCA

What is the best choice for LCA? Replace whole unit or just the bushings?

Just buy the whole thing , it will save you lots of hours of blood and sweat to remove them with a press.

look on rockauto.com , I think they are like 50$ a piece , all included.

Whatever you do, don't buy them from Autozone. I'm on my third or fourth one in the last couple years. The ball joints always wear out prematurely. I get the replacements for free under warranty, but it's still pretty damn annoying.

On the GEN3 you can enther buy the ball joint alone or the whole thing. When you buy the whole thing , it usually comes with a ball joint installed.

Sorry, I didn't realize this was the V8 section... my suggestion pertains to the Gen 2's.

The ball joint is pressed in the knuckle. There is no way it could come installed in the control arm.

Yup you're right , my bad. I replaced them in my 2002 not so long ago and I cant even remember it correctly. I had it mixed up with the Explorer ones.
