Anyone have a trick or suggstion to remove the belt tensioners on the two drive belts? I'm attempting to replace both belts (no problem 4 years ago!), however, both hex bolts are rusted and will not come out. Tried the usual soaking with rust penetrant over the past week but the hex heads are in danger of rounding off and are not close to breaking free. (Road Salt in central NY!!) Ford no longer stocks this item and with the amount of room to work, I hate to attempt tap out a broken bolt. Thanks!

Long arm 14 mm 6 pt box wrench. Do not use a 12 pt wrench or an open end wrench as it is far more likely to round the bolt head.

If they shear, you will have to disassemble the front of the engine enough to remove the complete mounting assembly.

If they round, a Craftsman Bolt-Out is the ticket for removal.

Good luck.
