I had my tranny rebuilt just over a month ago. I went to change the starter yesterday, and the AXOD SHO pan is covered in fluid, and the flow is generating from teh gasket on teh bell housing (same gasket used by the starter). Obviously, the tranny guy didn't feel like taking the old one off, and left it there (even though i told him it was bad before). It's not a fast leak, it drips maybe once or twice a day. How much do those gasket's cost, adn what would replacement be like?

I'm lost...starter gasket?

Maybe your talking about the rear main seal, if it leaks oil, that leaks between the oil pan and transmission bell housing. If you're leaking tranny fluid, it can be a pump seal.

there is no pump in the bell housing, the pump is in the side cover.
well i never heard of a gasket between the motor and transmission in my 3 years of a transmission mech. you maybe leaking out of the front seal or 1 of the bolts came lose after the rehaul. very common but $$$$ to fix, gotta pull her out the repair it. it is very common to leak if the torque converter bushing is wore.
