Bell housing bolt pattern

Is there a rear wheel drive tranny with the same bolt pattern? I know this may sound crazy but I am fixing to pick up a 78 Fairmont and was thinking that a V8 SHO motor in it wold be cool but it still needs to be rwd. Anybody got any ideas?

Not an easy task, nor cheap. I would opt for a 4.6 if it were me. Lots more possibilities to make that work without a lot of fabricating time, plus a big aftermarket.
