beating a dead horse

I know this topic has been wore out but my search on the matter has not yeilded any answers. my 94 atx when in drive, I slow down from highway speeds and when I hit 45 mph it downshifts really hard. also under hard acceleration it shifts at 3900 rpm. also cant get it to shift out of overdrive, or manually get it in first. must make it stay in 3rd for the dyno. again I am sorry for all the questions please help me in my quest for answers thank you all

Sounds like your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is malfunctioning.
